The agreement between you and Matins. Last updated 8 September 2026.
These are short on purpose. If anything here is unclear, ask, and we will make it clearer rather than longer.
Matins is provided by Cerebellum Group Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 13690140), whose registered office is Seabreeze Cottage, Victoria Way, Winchelsea Beach, Winchelsea TN36 4NH ("we"). You can reach us at support@matins.day.
Matins is a morning ritual with an assistant in it. It helps you plan a working day, keeps your tasks, measures how long they take, and can connect to your email, calendar and other tools to bring things across. The assistant is built on an AI model. It is good, and it is not always right: it can misunderstand what you said, guess a length badly, or describe something it has not done. Matins is built to catch that, and it will not always. What is on your screen is the truth; what Matins says about it is its best account.
Matins is a planning tool. It is not medical advice, and it is not a treatment for ADHD or anything else.
Connecting Google, Pocket, Slack or a webhook is your choice, and you can disconnect at any time in Settings. When you connect Google, you give Matins permission to read unread mail and your calendar and to add events when you ask; how that is used is set out in the privacy page. You are responsible for having the right to connect an account, for example your employer's mailbox.
Use Matins for your own work. Do not use it to break the law, to send abuse through a connected service, to probe or overload the service, or to build something that resells access to it. We may suspend an account that does.
Your tasks, your words and your notes are yours. You give us only the permission needed to store them, show them back to you, and send them to the services that make Matins work, as the privacy page describes. We do not use your content to train AI models, and our providers are bound not to.
We aim for Matins to be there every morning, and it will not be every single time: servers fail, and the services under Matins have outages of their own. We tell you what we know on the status page and fix what is ours to fix. We do not promise a specific uptime, and we are not liable for a morning that did not happen.
Matins is a tool for planning; the decisions are yours. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect loss, lost business, or loss arising from relying on something Matins said or from a connected service acting on your instruction. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Our total liability to you in any year is limited to what you paid us in that year.
We will tell you in the app at least 14 days before a change that affects you takes effect. Carrying on using Matins after that means you accept the change; if you do not, you can cancel and we will refund any unused part of what you paid.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes go to its courts. If you live in the EU, you keep the protections of your own country's consumer law.
